James Davis

James is a Product Designer and Embedded Systems engineer, who brings a strong focus on polished scientific instrument design and user experience, alongside technical fundamentals. He graduated from Olin College of Engineering with a degree in product design, and became fascinated with the challenges of working with water as a researcher at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in Cape Cod. He has worked on designing and piloting fleets of underwater ROV’s and autonomous boats. He has also authored sustainability and education research for Additive manufacturing.

Outside of the lab, James enjoys visiting and working with the local farms of MA and learning about local food production.
